Field Staff
As a leading organization in the field of experiential education, our instructors are accomplished outdoor educators, with experience and training in technical and facilitation skills. Outward Bound California offers courses in both urban and remote wilderness areas demanding highly talented staff to work with individuals and groups in a variety of setting and environments.
Our goal is to employ a group of field staff who are representative of the populations with whom we work. We are seeking people who are invested in the growth and development of individuals, groups and communities.
Our Instructors have extensive experience and training in interpersonal, technical, risk management, and educational skills. What we do is no less than life-changing for many of our students, and our instructional staff is the driving force behind this experience.
Our Logistics Team supports expeditions and programs from behind the scenes. Without Logistics Coordinators, our courses would not be possible. LC’s contribute to the student experience with strong operational, organizational, and communication skills.
Our Interns are excited and eager to contribute to OBCA’s mission, and receive training and development as they begin their careers in outdoor education. Gaining both field, logistical and administrative experience, Interns train to become Outward Bound Instructors and Logistics Coordinators.
