Outward Bound California seeks an enthusiastic, mission-driven Annual Fund Manager who will be a key player on our Fund Development Team, as well as be a cross-department collaborator working most closely with Outreach and Communications. The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for growing the OBCA donor base, renewing and upgrading support, and strengthening relationships with current donors below the major donor level. They are accountable for meeting annual donation goals for donors who each contribute less than $10,000 annually.
The Annual Fund Manager reports to the Chief Development Officer and secures funds for the organization throughout our California donor base. This position will ensure that our new and developing donors are retained as ongoing supporters to the organization and are upgraded in their giving levels and involvement. The person in this position will be responsible for helping to grow our donor relations program and must give keen attention to stewardship and donor appreciation. The role is ideal for someone looking to make their mark in a dynamic and growing, statewide organization.
In addition, the Annual Fund Manager develops and implements strategy for direct mail and electronic fundraising, segments donor level communications and cultivation efforts, including events and donor benefits, as well as any future honor and memorial donation programs. They are further responsible for setting standards and providing content for the donor engagement function, including tiered gift acknowledgments, donor benefit mailings, and telephone communications.
